Where do you place the keywords?

The search engines will search for key words and phrases for your webpage in a few very specific locations. Let's see where to put the key words and phrases and how to get the best performance.

In the title of the page
The first step is to build a page to give it a title. It is of vital importance, since it was found that the first text search engines. We offer a whole chapter of our manual so that you can build a good title for your page.

In the META tags
Most search engines to read some labels on the page to find the description and keywords for this. They are the META tag and are located at the top of the page. It is important to make good use of the META tags to be well documented in the search engines. In a later chapter will try META tags in depth.

In the first paragraph on page
Another part of the page to take into account are the first paragraphs of the page, as many search engines are fixed on them to index a web page. If the design of the site allows it, we must first put a paragraph that serves as an introduction to everything that we can find on the page. This first paragraph must be placed within and as close to this. The ideal is that in addition between the label and the first paragraph does not exist other labels, such as images. Keep in mind that this paragraph is the first thing you see on the page and must be legible and read properly.

ALT tag on the images
There are search engines that take into account the text in the ALT attribute of the images (especially if they are links to other pages), so it is desirable that the text insert keywords. The location of ete attribute in the html code is inside the IMG tag.

This attribute because it had originally appeared browsers could not display the images, and this text was printed in place of the image. Some browsers display text in the ALT attribute when we move your mouse over the image.

In the URL
There are search engines that take into account the keywords that are in the url of the website. You should try to separate the names with a hyphen normal "-" instead of conn an underscore "_". It's better syntax "name-titulo.html" that "nombre_titulo.html."

Using the headlines
Wherever possible it is good to highlight the titles of the pages with labels and the like
