Buttons and icons as a link

On many Web pages are buttons. These are specially designed links, for which the visitor must be easily recognizable to the road through a website going to find. So you have the house for the homepage and envelope for the contact page. The show is an art to the appropriate buttons or icons to which the visitor the way to find the right destination.

So you obviously need the text buttons, which link WDO state. "Homepage", "News" and "Products" are clearly identifiable evidence for the visitor. However it appears that "information" or "Service" have a bit more ambiguity value. It should also be clear that this is a link goes. In the ideal situation changes the button color, or it seems as if the button is pressed. That gives the signal for the visitor that he moved to another page.

Icons are graphic images of the left. The largest denfout made is that all the icons in place of text come. But remember that what you do well for you as a web designer is an obvious link, which is not true for any visitor. Always add a text explanation again. The simplest solution is to add the alt tag in the HTML code. So src="plaatje.gif" is always: Afdeling printers. The disadvantage of this method is that the visitor a while to wait. And he wants to know exactly where they stand. And that would make it clear you do with your icon ....? Look at the example below.

As this article points out, so be careful with the use of icons. Please note that you add the correct texts and not leave it too long. When a visitor knows where he or she must click on then the more likely he will hang and go on the site.
